You're trusting us
with your inbox.
We take that seriously. Here is exactly what Calzine does and does not do with your data — no fine print, no ambiguity.
Designed with privacy
as the foundation.
Granting access to your inbox is a significant act of trust. Calzine is engineered specifically to respect that trust — with minimal data access, OAuth authentication, full transparency, and complete user control at every step.
OAuth authentication — no passwords
Calzine connects to Gmail using Google's official OAuth 2.0 standard. You sign in through Google — we never see, ask for, or store your Gmail password. Revoke access from your Google Account at any time.
Scoped, minimal access
Calzine requests only the Gmail permissions needed to detect and read event-related emails. We do not request access to your full inbox, Google Drive, or contacts.
You stay in control
Every event goes through either an automated confidence check or your review queue before touching your calendar. You choose what gets added, skipped, or held.
Full transparency
Every calendar event Calzine creates includes a reference back to the source email. You can always trace exactly where any event came from.
No data selling, ever
Your inbox data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train third-party AI models. Your emails are yours. Period.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All communication with Google's APIs uses TLS encryption. Email content processed by Calzine is encrypted at rest using industry-standard practices.

How the connection
actually works.
OAuth is a security standard that lets you grant specific, limited access to your Google account — without sharing your password.
You click "Connect Gmail"
Calzine redirects you to Google's secure sign-in page. Your credentials are entered directly on Google's servers — never on ours.
Google shows the permission screen
You see exactly what Calzine is requesting access to. You must explicitly approve each permission scope.
Google issues an access token
If you approve, Google gives Calzine a scoped access token — not your password. This token can be revoked at any time.
Calzine reads event emails only
Using that token, Calzine reads emails within the approved scope only. Nothing outside that scope is accessible.
You revoke access anytime
Go to myaccount.google.com → Security → Third-party apps and remove Calzine instantly. No email to us required.
